KEYWORDS‣ Complexity can only be solved through flexibility.‣ Research based and Service oriented Corporate Deign.‣ Flexible Systems.‣ Decision Making.‣ Briefing/Re-Briefing.‣ Behavior Analysis of Cultures and Social Studies. Communication: Monologue ( alone ) vs. Dialogue ( A TO B ).
‣ PRACTICALLYThree countries need a new Corporate Design. Every culture is different and this can be observed through visual, theoretical and historical research. Students will be going through an intense research-based phase tackling various topics starting from the meaning of forms, symbols, typography and patterns all the way to visual language and the different existing communication strategies. This research is finally applied on building the Corporate design for each of the chosen countries. One unified language is applied on various applications (National museum logo, flag, National soccer team uniform, transportation, transportation tickets, etc.)
‣ THEORETICALLY The workshop provides the theoretical and practical professional knowledge about concept building process, collecting research, filtering and finally implementing and applying attained knowledge visually. The program intends to strengthen decision-making skills, building up research-based concepts and visually translating and creating the necessary link between information and communication as one uniform and sovereign visual language for a company. ‘Corporate Design’ enhances the student’s filtering and communication skills as part of the conceptual process in building a company’s image.

Enrich skills of combining manual with digital methodology in order to fulfill certain functions.
Knowledge and Understanding. Understanding the importance of research based design and learning how corporate design requires practitioners to possess knowledge about the client / company in order to help build a sovereign concept that will be translated into a visual language. Specify the basic levels of visual communications (Semiotics, Communication, and effectiveness). Define today’s visual language in design as socio-cultural historical development. Collect visual signs through research.
INTELLECTUAL SKILLSPractice a spectrum of visual elements in design, architecture, and art. Investigate critical appreciation for the quality of local and global visual sings. Compose visual narratives out of design elements and principles. Maintain an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and personal development. Deliver simple visual messages by using different mediums and materials. Practice skills in researching and solving problems in the visual domain.
